ah gay Paree

hallelujah We made it.  I dropped off the car at the airport rental return and we found a cab to take us to our hotel in the Latin Quarter.  We could not get into the room right away so we put our luggage in a safe place in the hotel and went across the street to a place called vielle tour.  We had a nice and reasonable in price lunch.  Mine was delicious mussels in leak cream sauce and hocke fish (similar to handock))in Dill and creame carmel(flan) for dessert.John had a minced Beef, and fries. Which he thought was alright.  He says that the french make good french fries.  We had a glass of wine which nearly knocked me out.  The waiter misunderstood that john wanted a red not rose' wine.  So our first glass of wine was rose'.  So for dessert we got the waiter to understand that we wanted a red.  this was a small bottle for actually the same price as the rose'  John drank the wine and I had a coffee with cream.  We then went back to the room to check in.John took a nap as I decided to explore.  The hotel is on this busy street called mouffetard.  It is a wonderful street as it is full of restaurants and food shops.  I worked with the gentleman at the front desk to figure out how to find the apartment.  With his help, the map, map quest and my GPS I was able to find the apartment.  It is only .9 of a mile.  On the way is a post office, many different cafe's, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, fruit markets.  The street the apartment is on is a nice street and the little alley the apartment is off of is very decorative and friendly. Now to get though these next few days as John is not thrilled with Paris. But hopefully we will find activities that he would enjoy.  If I only could find a sportif pub that showed American Football on sunday.  John would be very happy.
