The next part of my trip

My handsome Irish Prince ,John flew home to Chicago this morning.  I am waiting for him to call me to let my know he got home safely.  As he was flying home my friend Lisa flew in to CDG and I was there to meet her.  She will be here in Paris with me for 7 days.  When I met her at the airport we bought the Paris museum passes and hop on hop off  bus tickets that include boat rides on the Seine.  John's and my cab ride to the airport was very long and expensive $80 but coming back with lisa it was only $40.  the difference was that early in the morning we ran into a lot of traffic and there was some sort of accident that held us up.  This afternoon we just zipped along.
After we got Liza settled in the apartment we took a walk, down Mouffetard street and ended up at the Pantheon and the Gardens of Luxemburg.  It was raining lightly but that did not deter from the beautiful gardens.  The trees are stating to change colors.  the bushes and trees are trimmed precisely and the flowers are still in bloom.  We are going to come here next sunday as that is the day that they have marionette shows and the people of Paris come out to enjoy the park.  We stopped and had a soft drink near the Luxemburg gardens and as we sat there we saw several police cars with their sirens on.  the police cars were full of officers and we wondered where they were going.  It looked like they were going toward the Eifle tower.   But we are only speculating at this point.  Maybe tonights news might reveal something.
After our long walk we stopped at a Greek restaurant on Mouffetard street for a delicious vegetarian dinner.
