Florence
What can I say. Florence or Firenze as the Italians call it is so beautiful. This is the area of Tuscany. The pictures above are of the famous domo basillica. The bridge is the famous Ponce Vecchio bridge. aparently all the bridges in Florence were destroyed in World War II except this one. The guide told us that Hitler did not have the heart to blow up this bridge because he thought it was so beautiful. My sister Nan should remember a picture of this bridge in a favorite restaurant of ours, Peticones? Do you remember the picture Nan? In Florence there are two very famous museums. One is the Unifi gallery and the Academy of fine Arts with Michelangelo's David. The squares of the door are from the famous Doors that are called the Gates of Paradise. There is so much to see in Florence and we only saw the highlights. Definately a place I will go back to and see more!
