These pictures demonstrate my question "did you bring your boots"? Venice is sinking and when their is a full moon the and the tide is rising , St Marks square is flooded and to allow people to go though the square they put up these 4 ft above the ground lanes.
Here was a fellow who was already for the water rising.
I took this picture because it demonstrates that the poor merchant inside had to wait until the water receded before any shoppers would enter his shop.
This was a boat ride on the lagoon outside of Venice. We were going to a island called Burano
This is Burano and of course I had to take a picture or two of this cat. Sort of looks like my daughter Emily's cat Fortune.
