Pictures of Versailles

I have been to the Chateau of Versailles 3 times during my stays in Paris.  The first time was with my handsome prince John.  We were staying at a hotel near the airport and I still had the rental car.  We drove from the North side of Paris to Versailles which is on the south side of Paris.  I used my GPS to guide me the way and it took the road that goes around Paris to allow me to bypass the busy streets of  Paris.  This expressway reminded me of our Chicago Dan Ryan, Kennedy expressway and the Edens. When we actual got into the town of Versailles I drove down very upscale boulevards.  The town appeared to have huge houses and apartment complexes that looked like places of the rich and famous.  I found the parking lot for the Chateau and on this day actually found a parking space.  There are two parking lots one for the buses and one for the cars.  The day we were there was not a weekend and I surmised that  it should not be too crowded.  It was a lovely day and the sun was shining.  These four pictures are at the entrance of Versailles where a famous statue of Louis the 14th marks the entrance to the Chateau.  This Chateau was the main residence of many of the Kings of France.  Later I visited a Place called Fountainbleu which was the hunting lodge and summer Chateau of those Kings.  These are the only pictures I have of my handsome Irish Prince at entrance to Versailles.  If you ever remember and you happen to have a chance to talk to him, ask him how he enjoyed the rest of Versailles.
