The picture above is a sight we often see in Chicago. It is a car in Paris that got the boot.
I actually am not sure what this church is. If anyone recognizes it please comment. I know it is in Paris
The Eiffel tower can be seen from many parts of the city. Someone told me it was the tallest structure in the City. The picture below is of the famous restaurant Maxims. My handsome Prince was going to take me there until he found out that a meal costs about $700.00 and the reviews of the food and service were not good. I wonder what influenced him more against going there, the cost or the reviews?
This is in one of the cars on the metro. entertainers come in the cars and entertain hoping for some handouts
This is a very modern weird structure called the George Pompedu Center. On the 4th and 5th floor is the paris Modern Art museum. It has an excellent collection of Matisse, Piscaso, and other famous modern art artist.
This is the Moulin Rouge. Remember the movie?
These are pictures of The Basillica of the Sacred Heart. We went there on a day of the Festival of Harvest. I do not beleive there are that many people who come to the church on a reg basis except on this famous once a year festival. The festival was a lot of fun with lots of booths that sold cheese, wine and sausages.
This is the view from the top of the Basillica. Paris lyes before you.
This is my friend Lisa, when we were at the Basillica of the Sacred Heart.
I have no idea who this man is. I was taking a picture of Paris's Hard Rock Cafe.
When you ride the hop on hop off bus you also get to ride on the tour boats on the Seine.
This was taken from the boat. Glenda and I went on a night tour on a boat and this is how the E. Tower looks at night. I have no idea who that gentleman is.
One of the things that Lisa and I did was to buy a pass on the hop on hop off bus. This bus has a upper deck and when the weather is good it is an excellent place to sit and view the various sights of the city. While you are riding you wear ear phones that points out the sights as you pass and gives you a little backround information. Of course the audio guide is in English. A must do when you go to Paris.
